“What is a Mind-Body-Spirit Group?”
A powerful, effective combination of research-based healing modalities to help people deal with life change, stress and illness in an intimate and supportive group setting. Mind-Body-Spirit skills are the single most important and best documented way to deal with the stress that contributes to chronic illness.
Mind-Body-Spirit Groups teach the self-care skills necessary to transform the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual dimension of our lives.
“Who joins Mind-Body-Spirit Groups?” Growth and change are universal human principles. Anyone can benefit from a Mind-Body-Spirit Group. Groups are comprised of adults of all ages and backgrounds. |
This group is for you if you want to:
Each week, group members will experience a mind-body-spirit modality that can be immediately integrated into daily life. The group will be educational, supportive, participatory, structured and fun. This 9-week series utilizes the principles of the Center for Mind-Body Medicine. “How do I join a group?” Initial registration opens on August 11. Reserve your space by clicking HERE. No fee is due at this time. Simply place your order for a Registration Request and you will receive a follow-up email and be contacted by Claire or Jane. You’ll be contacted by a facilitator so we can learn a little more about you and answer any questions you may have. No fee for the initial registration. Mind-Body-Spirit Groups will empower your growth through effective, research-proven skills such as:
“Who will facilitate?” Claire Dickey has worked with children, teens and adults as a licensed mental health counselor for 30 years, first in Cedar Rapids and now in private practice in Iowa City. She provides individual therapy with the help of her therapy dog Chena, and over the years has facilitated various psycho-educational groups. Claire and Jane have each nurtured a long-standing interest in the connection between mind, body and spirit through meditation, yoga, tai chi and other practices. They participated in the Professional Training Program with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in October of 2013, and completed the Advanced Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training Program in March of 2015.
