Singing bowls are an ancient practice which have enjoyed renewed modern interest due to the healing power of sound. While more research is needed to establish just how effective sound healing therapy can be, current evidence suggests it is an effective option to help people suffering from pain, injury, or stress.
Sound therapy uses specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release. Practices can include singing, chanting, and/or instrumental music. Singing bowls also fall under this umbrella.
You are invited to experience sound, stillness, playfulness and relaxation through the enigmatic vibrations of Himalayan and crystal singing bowls with Kathy Broghammer, a certified sound healing and energy practitioner, dream teacher and numerologist.
Kathy will be partnering with Body Moves Yin Yoga instructor Barb Sorenson to offer an hour-plus session of movement and stillness to connect with your inner being through the song of bowls and sensations of yin yoga. Barb and Kathy have the mutual intent for students to experience the special benefits that yin yoga provides while also experiencing the benefits of sound and singing bowls. They expect that the session will be an enhanced body, mind, emotion, spirit experience.
