Join us during Veterans Week to honor our nation’s veterans and raise funds for Veterans Yoga Project
Event: Mindful Yoga Benefit – supporting Veterans Yoga Project
When: Saturday, November 15th
Time: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
This class is a free-will donation benefit with funds going to Veterans Yoga Project in their mission to aid recovery and promote resilience among veterans, their families, and their communities.
The workshop will focus on breath work to relieve stress and calm the mind. Instructor suggestions will promote safety and autonomy with mindfulness. It will include intention, asanas (poses) and final yoga nidra relaxation
Veterans Yoga Project provides scholarships and ongoing support for veteran yoga teachers to assist those recovering from posttraumatic stress and other trauma using the Mindful Resilience approach
Body Moves Certified Registered Yoga Teachers are proud to support VeteransYoga Project with this 90 minutes fundraiser class with their passion to assist vets.
Sarah Neary–RYT, certified Veterans Yoga Trainer is a Certified Wellness Coach with a Masters in Social Work
John Jadryev – RYT, self -described “yoga junkie” US Army, 9th Infantry Division Vietnam 1967- 1968 veteran is active in Veterans for Peace
Angie Madlock – Yogafit, AFAA Group Fitness and Personal Trainer is a 10 year Navy veteran
