Train Your Brain…Through Breathwork

Posted on: August 19, 2025

Right now, your brain is actively at work, whether you’re aware of or not, through unconscious cognition or processing. That’s amazing to think about!! (See what I did there!?)

At this very moment, even as you read this sentence, your brain is coordinating thousands of processes which is incredible, but sometimes it feels overwhelming. At times it can feel as if our brain is intractable, taking us places we’d rather not go. But you have more control over these processes than you might realize!

Breathing exercises are a powerful tool that influence and shape our brain chemistry and can be used to enhance our mental well-being and cognitive performance. It’s a phenomenal mind-body connection that is worthy of exploring!

Tap into your brain’s own chemistry lab this Saturday, August 23, at 11:00AM with yoga instructor Barb Sorenson as she leads a special one-hour breath work session.

… will activate the vagus nerve, which plays a crucial role in regulating the autonomic nervous system and reducing stress responses.

… will help the body clear cortisol more effectively, contributing to a more balanced emotional state. This can also can help improve focus and cognitive performance under stress.

… can stimulate the brain to form new connections and potentially mitigate cognitive decline.

… can improve communication between different brain regions, potentially enhancing cognitive abilities.

Breathwork is a powerful tool for influencing brain chemistry. It involves intentionally altering the body’s physiological state through controlled breathing techniques, bringing increased harmony to your mind, emotions, and body.

Don’t forget!! RESERVE YOUR SPOT now!!

Come settle your body, mind, and spirit through breath work with Barbara Sorenson!! The benefits will extend on far beyond the hour session.
